ABOUT
US
Tavistock Youth Café is a dedicated youth charity providing spaces, support, and opportunities for 11–18-year-olds across Tavistock and the surrounding rural communities.
MISSION.
At Tavistock Youth Café, our mission is to create an inclusive, and inspiring space where young people can connect, grow, and thrive. We are dedicated to supporting the health, wellbeing, and aspirations of young individuals aged 11-19 through activity programs, mentoring, and community engagement.
HISTORY.
Tavistock Youth Café began in 2005 as an independent youth organisation supported by the Devon Youth Service. After funding cuts and the demolition of its original building in 2014, TYC secured a new home in 2015—an industrial unit close-by, refurbished as a modern youth centre. That year, it also became a registered charity. Since then, TYC has continued to grow, developing a strong team and expanding its youth services while remaining rooted in the heart of the Tavistock community.
